Liturgical Celebrations
Special celebrations are observed at the school throughout the Liturgical Year. Third-fifth grade students study saints of their choosing and create reports that are presented at the annual school Saint Fair, and El Dia de Los Muertos offers a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. During Advent, all students and staff gather, daily, for prayer, song, and the lighting of the Advent candle. In December, the whole school partakes in a special Christmas Program led by our music director. The school celebrates the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday Mass at the church, and students enact Stations of the Cross, using silhouettes, during Holy Week. The feast day of our patron Saint Joseph is celebrated with prayer, song, and the blessing of the bread, and we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary with May Crowning.
