Dear School Families,

September has come to a close, and it was a wonderful month! Students have really settled into the routine nicely. This time of year is very beautiful and exciting, and the fall weather has been so nice.

October is a month in which we honor our Blessed Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary. The Feast of Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary will be celebrated this coming Monday, October 7th. We will gather as a school at the Marian Grotto for a bilingual Rosary at 2:00 p.m. on this day. Please join us! During the month of October as we prepare to celebrate All Saints Day and All Souls Day, students will learn about the lives of the Saints who came before us, those who lived lives of virtue and sacrifice. We look forward to our annual Saint Fair on Monday November 4th, where students in grades 3rd-6th will have the opportunity to share all that they have learned about their chosen saints over the month. Our Virtue of study for the month is Studiousness, seeking knowledge to grow closer to the truth. Please help your children understand the importance of this virtue.

Power Hour, our ELA support program will begin on Monday 10/7 at 7:00 am. This is an invite only intervention program. Sign up forms were sent out this week and should be returned to the school as soon as possible. We are also planning on offering some after school enrichment activities starting a little later in October-stayed tuned!

We are very excited to form a closer relationship with our surrounding parishes and look forward to having Father Edgar Quiroga (Holy Apostles) and Father Antonio Garcia (St. Joseph) as important members of our School Advisory Committee (SAC) and integral members of our school community.

Our 6th grade class is going very well, and it is such a pleasure to witness these students blossom as leaders in our community. We are currently in the process of planning for year two and the addition of our 7th grade class. Please continue to pray for the success of our Capital Campaign and consider making a pledge toward this important project. We are so grateful for the pledges we have already received in the amount of $1,361,572, with realized funds in the amount of $353,818. Information and pledge cards will be coming home with students this week. We appreciate your support! Thank you for all that you do for your children and for the school. My door is always open. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful month.

Peace & Blessings,
Lisa Martinez
