At St. Joseph Catholic School, we are proud to celebrate the rich tapestry of languages and cultures that our families bring to our community. Our commitment to inclusivity is exemplified through the integration of the Spanish language and Latino cultural and religious practices into our curriculum. We are delighted to have Mrs. Andrea Wright, a passionate educator fluent in Spanish, who has dedicated herself to enriching the lives of our students through her diverse cultural experiences.
Mrs. Wright began her journey at St. Joe’s teaching Religion before being entrusted with the important task of launching our Spanish program. Her unique approach combines her deep love for Jesus, children, and cultural diversity. Currently, she leads our second-grade class, guiding students as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Eucharist, a significant milestone in their spiritual journey.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mrs. Wright's educational background is impressive; she graduated with honors in Spanish from the University of New Mexico, where she also showcased her athletic prowess as a Division 1 track athlete for the Lobos. Her personal connection to our school is profound, as her husband and two of her three children are proud St. Joe’s alumni, with one child currently attending.
As we continue to foster an environment that honors and embraces the diverse backgrounds of our students, we invite our community to join us in this exciting journey of cultural enrichment and spiritual growth at St. Joseph Catholic School. Together, let us create a welcoming space where every family feels valued and celebrated!
